Manitowoc American Legion Post 88 has advanced to Wednesday’s semifinals of the Triple A American Legion State Baseball Tournament with a 3 to 2 walk-off victory over Middleton Tuesday at Wildwood Park in Sheboygan.
The game was tied at 2 going to the bottom of the 7th inning as Alex Lensmeyer doubled, his third hit of the game.
Middle ton would commit two infield errors to set the stage for Roncalli alum Reece Stangel’s walk-off winner to send Post 88 into the semi-finals.
Kiel’s Brandon Stephany added 2 RBI’S while Jacob Gallagher went the distance on the mound throwing 86 pitches, scattering 7 hits to earn the victory.
Manitowoc improves to 23 and 4 and will face the winner of the De Pere- Fond Du Lac game Wednesday afternoon at 4:30.
