Bail is set at $5,000 recognizance for a 39-year-old Manitowoc man who’s accused of running over an 11-year-old girl in the Kewaunee County Town of Carlton Tuesday night.
Bradley Zeman is charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated-Third Offense and causing injury while operating a vehicle.
The Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Office received a call from the girl’s mother stating that she had just been run over by a truck on private property at Maple View Campground and was trapped under the vehicle.
Several Departments responded to provide medical attention and she was eventually transported to a medical facility in Green Bay for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Zeman had told investigators that he never saw the girl before hitting her.
Her name will not be released, and the incident remains under investigation. Zeman is due back in Kewaunee County Circuit Court for his initial appearance on September 1st at 2:00 p.m.
