To say the 2022 iteration of EAA AirVenture was a success would be a massive understatement.
Organizers have announced that they broke their previously established attendance record, with a total of 650,446 guests passing through the gates.
On top of that record, they also broke the record for the busiest air traffic control tower in the world.
A major reason for that record being broken is in fact the breaking of another record.
EAA AirVenture had more vintage airplanes on hand than they have ever had.
The theme of this year’s event was “Unlike Anything Else”, and it is fair to say, the event lived up to that name.
