Financial Advisor Jason Weier of Weier Wealth Management will provide financial tips and lessons to consider when approaching retirement in a brief, non-product-based presentation today from noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Manitowoc Public Library.
Weier says he’ll be joined by former Navy Seal Phil Koontz.
“He will cover three practical lessons he learned being a Seal, and that, hopefully, will give you peace of mind while preparing for this unknown,” he explained. “It’s a very interactive session. He used tools and training and his targets as metaphors for tackling those obstacles in life.”
Weier will also cover strategies for planning for uncertain times while still investing your money.
“I fully acknowledge that sticking with your plan right now is difficult,” he said, “I understand that people want to get out of the stock market right now. They feel like they are being left behind, that they need to do something, and maybe they can’t withstand another bad year, but if you look at the history, we study the markets, we use that data at my firm to make educated decisions moving forward.”
Those in attendance will also get the chance to see Koontz’s Navy Seal Uniform and participate in a question-and-answer session following the presentation.
Registration is free and a free-bagged lunch will be provided.
