A 13-year-old Manitowoc male is in custody facing multiple charges after allegedly robbing two northside businesses.
Detective Sergeant Mike Stone says that on Monday afternoon, police responded to the report of an armed robbery that had occurred in the 700 block of North 11th Street.
The suspect entered the business demanding cash and displayed a firearm, proceeding to flee on foot after receiving an unspecified amount of cash.
Police were then called twice Tuesday to a business located in the 900 block of North 8th Street.
The first call came in about 8:45 a.m. for the report of an Attempted Robbery.
The suspect was unable to gain entrance but did cause damage to the building.
A second call came in just after noon with the suspect displaying a handgun and demanding money.
The victim did not give him money and called authorities.
Police located the suspect a short time later in the 800 block of North 9th Street and he was taken into custody with a .45 caliber handgun located on his person.
He admitted to his involvement with evidence located at his residence that connected him to the crimes.
The youth was transported to The Sheboygan County Juvenile Detention Center with referred charges to include Armed Robbery, Attempted Armed Robbery, Attempted Burglary, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Criminal Damage to Property and other weapon related offenses.
No other information will be released st this time.
