A new general surgeon has been added to the team at Prevea’s Sheboygan location.
Dr. Emiko Hayakawa is a board-certified surgeon and is the only female general surgeon in Sheboygan County. Dr. Hayakawa specializes in surgical endoscopy and colonoscopy, hemorrhoids, fissures, and anal fistulas, hernia repair, laparoscopic abdominal surgery, gallbladder surgery, thyroid surgery, and colon surgery.
She earned her medical degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, completed a residency in general surgery at Spectrum Health/Michigan University College of Human Medicine, and completed a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at the OhioHealth Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.
