The victim in last weekend’s motorcycle crash on I-43 has been identified.
66-year-old James Schulte was traveling south on I-43 just before noon last Saturday (August 6th) and was in the left lane as he was approaching a construction zone.
A semi was in the right lane and was starting to merge, which forced Schulte to drive into the median.
His motorcycle flipped, and Schulte suffered serious injuries, including a fractured face and brain bleed.
He was flown via Eagle III to a hospital in Green Bay.
The Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office is not sure if the semi driver did not see Schulte or if his actions were intentional.
His identity is still not known by authorities, so anyone with any information is still being asked to contact the Sheriff’s Department at 920-683-4201.
