For the second game in a row, Jackson Chourio played a vital role in the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers picking up a 7-4 win over the Peoria Chiefs.
The Rattlers were down 2-0 entering the 6th inning, when, with no one on base and two outs recorded, Chourio blasted a pitch over the right field wall, sparking a comeback for the visitors.
The Rattlers pitchers would allow two more runs, but a three-run 8th inning gave the Rattlers the lead, and a two-run 9th secured it.
Eduardo Garcia also had a great night at the plate, going 2 for 4 and knocking in 3 runs.
The Ratters and Chiefs will square off again tonight at 6:35 p.m. for game 3 of their six-game series.
With 10 games left in the season, the Rattlers are five and a half games out of the top spot in the West Division lead, but a comeback is possible.
The two teams tied for the top spot, the South Bend Cubs and the Cedar Rapids Kernels play each other in the final series of the regular season next week.
