The Badgers are one of seven teams that fell in this week’s AP College Football Poll despite winning their openers.
Wisconsin was never threatened Saturday while shutting out Illinois State 38-0.
Despite that, coach Paul Chryst’s team fell from 18th to 19th in the poll released Tuesday.
Ohio State was dropped from second to third despite a 21-10 victory over Notre Dame.
The biggest drop took Oregon right out of the top 25 after a 49-3 drubbing by Georgia.
That blowout allowed the Bulldogs to move past Ohio State into second place.
The Big Ten has three other teams ranked this week – number-three Ohio State, number-four Michigan, number-14 Michigan State, and number-19 Wisconsin.
