Bail is set at $500 cash for a 56-year-old Manitowoc man charged with his seventh OWI Offense following an incident on the city’s Southside late Tuesday night.
A couple had allegedly began yelling into a neighbor’s garage claiming that they had denied hitting their vehicle.
Police received a call from a residence in the 1400 block of South 10th Street, telling officers that they saw a man, later identified as Keith A. Adams, enter his garage with what appeared to be a pistol.
Adams then fled the scene and upon returning he was confronted by authorities with weapons drawn.
He was eventually escorted out of his vehicle with the alleged weapon never being located.
The Manitowoc man refused field sobriety tests after showing signs of impairment and was taken to a local hospital for a blood draw and eventually booked on a charge of OWI-Seventh Offense.
Conditions of bail are that Adams is not to drive a motor vehicle and is to maintain “absolute sobriety”.
He remains in The County Jail and has an initial appearance scheduled for September 19th at 1:30.
