Bail is set at $500 cash for a 29-year-old man accused of Threatening to kill McDonald’s employees and police last weekend because it took too long to make his food.
Willie J. Perchado is charged with Making Terrorist Threats, Resisting An Officer, Possession of Marijuana and Disorderly Conduct.
Manitowoc Police were summoned to the McDonald’s Restaurant at 3512 Calumet Avenue around 3:15 Sunday morning.
Workers said that Perchado walked up and pounded on the window and threatened to kill any workers and officers that may arrive, all because he said it took to long for his food to be made.
Perchado had left before officers had arrived, however a vehicle matching the one in question was followed to The Holiday Inn.
A high-risk traffic stop was performed with tasers deployed. Perchado was described as smelling heavily of alcohol and he was taken into custody without further incident,
No one was hurt. Conditions of bail are that Perchado have “no contact” with McDonald’s on Calumet and maintain “absolute sobriety.” He remains in The County Jail and an initial appearance is scheduled for October 3rd at 1:30.
