Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Robin Vos has prevailed in an emergency lawsuit that means he won’t have to appear before the U.S. House January 6th Committee.
Vos was subpoenaed over the weekend demanding that he testify Monday morning.
The Republican filed suit Sunday arguing the subpoena infringes on his legislative immunity from the civil process, lacks a lawful purpose, and was issued by an unlawful committee.
Members of the committee reportedly wanted to hear from the Wisconsin politician about a call with former President Donald Trump – when Trump was asking Vos to take steps to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election in the Badger State.
