The fall semester hasn’t completed a month and already the Madison Metropolitan School District is down one principal.
Two sources with first-hand knowledge say educator Jeffrey Copeland was fired Monday after meeting with district leaders.
Copeland had taken over as principal at Ray F. Sennett Middle School at the start of the current school year.
Teachers at the school are questioning why Copeland was dismissed.
They say they will be voicing their support for their former leader at tonight’s school board meeting.
