The candidates for US Senate in Wisconsin debated for the first time on Friday.
Most recent polling shows a close race between Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes and incumbent Republican U.S. Senator Ron Johnson.
On Friday the two squared off in a debate sponsored by the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association, laying out their differences on issues including abortion, the minimum wage, and the January 6 insurrection at the US Capitol.
Governor Tony Evers and his Republican challenger businessman Tim Michaels will debate this Friday.
