Steph Curry and LeBron James then renewed their rivalry as the Warriors beat the Lakers 123-109 in San Francisco.
Curry finished with 33 points while James had 31 to lead L.A.
The action picks up Wednesday with 12 games on the schedule.
The Milwaukee Bucks kick off their season tomorrow.
