We now know who will be taking over as Chief of Police in Two Rivers later this year.
The Two Rivers Police and Fire Commission has announced that Assistant Chief Benjamin Meinnert will be assuming the role following the retirement of Chief Brian Kohlmeier.
Chief Kohlmeier announced his retirement officially Tuesday night after 34 years of police work, the last three as the Chief of Police.
The Department issued a statement, thanking “Chief Kohlmeier for his many years of service to our agency and the community. We would like to wish him well in his retirement and future endeavors.”
Chief Kohlmeier’s last day on the job will be December 23rd, with Assistant Chief Meinnert assuming the role after that day.
