Two minors are facing charges for stealing a vehicle from a Manitowoc residence Monday morning.
The victim had come home to his residence in the 800 block of Schroeder Drive around 3:30 p.m. and discovered that his 2022 Mazda CX-5 had been stolen from his garage.
He called police who confirmed through surveillance footage that someone had entered his home around 9 a.m., took a spare key from drawer and drove off.
An app on his phone revealed that his vehicle was in Milwaukee early Monday evening, then had returned to Manitowoc, where the owner saw it drive off from the North 8th Street Kwik Trip around 9 p.m.
Officers arrived and detained both suspects.
The vehicle was secured and returned to the victim intact.
One of the suspects was identified as Dylan Mann, who had an adult felony body warrant through Sheboygan County.
He was transported to The Manitowoc County Jail on a charge of Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Consent-Passenger, while the driver-whose identity was redacted from the police report, was transported to The Sheboygan County Juvenile Detention Center on charges which include Operating a Motor Vehicle Without the Owner’s Consent and Theft.
