We now know the names of all eight teams that will be playing in Dwayne Johnson’s version of the XFL.
Most of them are the same as the last time around as the Arlington Renegades, D.C. Defenders, Houston Roughnecks, Orlando Guardians, Seattle Sea Dragons, St. Louis Battlehawks, and Las Vegas Vipers all return from the XFL list that played one season in 2020.
New this time around are the San Antonio Brahmas, which replaced the former LA Wildcats.
There are three notable names coaching some of these teams.
Former Dallas Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips has the same job with the Roughnecks, former NFL cornerback Rod Woodson will be on the sidelines for the Vipers, while Super Bowl 40 MVP Hines Ward is coaching the Brahmas.
The 2023 season is expected to kick off on February 18th.
