Two individuals. one of whom is a Student at Manitowoc Lincoln High School, were taken into custody following an investigation into a possible bomb threat at Lincoln High School.
Just after midnight Wednesday, a message threatening The High School was left on a staff members voicemail.
The caller stated that he would be bringing a bomb to school at noon Wednesday with school was dismissed at 11 a.m. for the safety of students and staff.
An investigation led authorities to a possible suspect in Winnipeg Canada. With help from the FBI and Interpol, a joint investigation was started with The Winnipeg Police Department and The Royal Canadian Police.
Meanwhile, Lincoln’s School Resource Officer had learned from concerned students that a L.H.S student may have been involved in sending the voicemail.
It was then learned that the two suspects had been communicating over a gaming system and both individuals were taken into custody.
No one was injured and names of those involved have not been released
The Lincoln student is charged with Making Terrorist Threats-a Class One Felony while charges against The Winnipeg resident aren’t known at this time.
