Bail is set at $50 cash for a 51-year-old Manitowoc man who was taken into custody early this morning for violating conditions of release from a previous legal matter.
Brian M. Bell is charged with 12 counts of Bail Jumping, 11 of which are felonies.
Police were on a follow up call at a southside residence when they noticed Bell, who they knew was out on bail, exit a vehicle and asked him if he had been drinking.
He originally denied he was, only to admit that he had consumed “a little bit” of alcohol.
Once handcuffed, Bell allegedly began berating officers, calling them names.
He eventually calmed down and was taken to jail without further incident.
The lone condition of bail is that Bell maintain “absolute sobriety.”
He remains in The County Jail with an initial appearance scheduled for December 5th at 1:30 p.m.
