Two individuals arrested Tuesday morning following a Manitowoc drug bust appeared for bail hearings in Manitowoc County Circuit Court this afternoon.
45-year-old Jeffrey W. Nicol of Two Rivers is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Marijuana with intent to Deliver, Possession of Fentanyl, and Being Keeper of A Drug House, while 35-year-old Jennifer L. Smith, also of Two Rivers is facing charges of Possession of Fentanyl, Oxycodone and Methamphetamine.
A search warrant was executed at a residence in The University Village Heights Trailer Park in Manitowoc.
It was unoccupied upon officers’ arrival, so they forced their way in.
Nicol and Smith pulled up and exited their vehicle.
They were quickly identified and detained.
Nicol had drugs on his person and admitted that he had sold drugs from the residence, with authorities locating numerous items of drug paraphernalia, an odor-resistant bag containing marijuana, a gallon baggie with a crystal-like substance, and fentanyl test strips.
Nicol remains in The County Jail on a $3000 cash bail while Smith is free on a $5000 recognizance bond.
Conditions of bail for both defendants include having no contact with each other and maintaining absolute sobriety.
Nicol’s initial appearance is scheduled for December 5th. While Smith is due back in court for an initial appearance on December 19th.
