A 16-year-old Manitowoc teen is free on a $2000 recognizance bond on drug charges following a two-vehicle accident last Friday morning.
Court records show that Aviyn R. Walters is charged with Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver and Felony Bail Jumping and is being charged as an adult.
Police were summoned to the intersection of South 13th and Columbus Streets last Friday morning where witnesses said they saw a male subject (Walters) exit one of the vehicles and hide behind a nearby house
An officer located a bag nearby the house that contained approximately 88-and-a-half grams of marijuana.
It was also discovered that Walters had been under a court order to attend Lincoln High School every hour of every scheduled school day.
Conditions of bail are that Walters maintain “absolute sobriety” and attend Lincoln High School scheduled programs as he is required.
Walters is due back in court January 9th for an initial appearance.
