A 26-year-old Green Bay man is facing several federal drug charges related to a recent Manitowoc County Metro Drug Unit investigation.
The United States District Court, Eastern District of Wisconsin has filed a 5- count federal indictment against Zandrell Besaw , which includes multiple felony drug related charges.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office, Eastern District Office also alleges that Besaw knowingly and intentionally distributed Fentanyl from March through May of this year.
Investigators conducted controlled purchases from Besaw at various locations in Manitowoc and Brown Counties.
Investigators executed a search warrant in Brown County in May of this year and seized approximately 880 pills containing fentanyl that appear to be Percocet 30 mg prescription pills, more commonly known as “fake Perc 30’s” that are manufactured with trace amounts of fentanyl that pose a significant overdose threat.
Besaw was arrested and transported to The Manitowoc County Jail and subsequently released on federal bail conditions.
No specifics on those conditions were released or when his trial is set to begin.
