With the 10th annual Music is the Cure concert about a month away, the organizers have announced who will be getting some of the money raised from this year’s benefit.
Chad Hoerth revealed that Krissy Koenig, who is a tattoo artist at Candy Apple Tattoo in Manitowoc, had been diagnosed with breast cancer last year and has already gone through 12 weeks of chemotherapy.
She is now gearing up for another 6 weeks of radiation treatment.
In his statement, Hoerth noted that “Candy Apple Tattoo and Krissy have been huge supporters of Music is the Cure over the years and we want to do everything we can to help her and her family out.”
A GoFundMe page has also been set up for the Koenig family.
This year’s Music is the Cure concert is scheduled for Saturday, February 4th at City Limits in Manitowoc.
Doors will open at 3:30 p.m. with the music beginning at 4:30 p.m.
