The Manitowoc Police Department is reporting a successful “Drive Sober or get Pulled Over” campaign.
In a news release, the department reported making four arrests for driving under the influence between December 16th and New Year’s Day.
Officers also issued citations for 10 speeding violations, 10 operating without a license, one traffic sign or traffic light violation, 3 registration issues, 23 miscellaneous violations, and 3 felony arrests during traffic stops in that time period.
Police made a total of 251 traffic stops and devoted 311 hours to traffic enforcement with a total of 40 officers involved.
188 written warnings were issued as well.
