A 34-year-old Manitowoc man has been charged in a shooting from earlier this week.
Sanerivi Iaulualo is facing charges of 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Endangering Safety with Use of a Dangerous Weapon, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, and Disorderly Conduct.
Numerous officers were sent to the area of South 13 and Madison Streets just after 1:00 Monday morning after receiving two calls reporting gunshots.
A witness pointed the officers in the direction of an apartment in the 1300 block of South 12th Street, and a perimeter was set up.
Iaulualo exited the residence, but after seeing the officers went back inside. Police then noticed several shell casings on the ground, which led officers to approach the apartment.
The police report indicates that the officers heard three people inside, but someone inside said they would only open the door if the officers had a warrant.
Iaulualo let the women come outside, and they were placed in handcuffs.
One of the women was taken to the Manitowoc County Jail due to an outstanding warrant, while officers entered the residence to apprehend Iaulualo, who admitted to firing the weapon into the air because he was angry.
He was taken to Holy Family Memorial for an evidentiary blood draw before being booked into the Manitowoc County Jail.
