The former Two Rivers High School teacher accused of sexually assaulting a student is set to be in court today.
35-year-old Rebecca Kilps will be before Judge Robert Dewane at 3:30 this afternoon for a plea and sentencing hearing.
Kilps previously pleaded not guilty on three counts of Sexually Assaulting a Student by School Staff and paid a $10,000 cash bond.
She was arrested in May of last year after a student told staff at Two Rivers High School about their sexual relationship.
Her husband then provided detectives with messages between Kilps and the student where they discussed their future together and that they loved each other.
The 17-year-old victim told detectives that the situation went “too far” and admitted that the duo had engaged in sex twice at her home.
