For the first time in the organization’s history, Old Glory Honor Flight has announced a mission for veterans who fought in the Global War on Terrorism.
This includes anyone who was deployed overseas after the 9/11 attacks on New York City.
The Freedom to Liberty Tour: A Mission of Healing will travel to New York City to visit places such as the 9/11 Memorial, the 9/11 Museum, and the Statue of Liberty.
The trip will begin on September 28th and the vets will return on October 1st of this year.
Those who are interested will be able to apply throughout the month of February, and 50 people will be selected at random from the pool of applicants.
The trip will be paid for by Old Glory Honor Flight, including the air and ground transportation, most meals, hotel expenses, and admissions to tour-related activities.
