Organizers of last weekend’s 10th Annual Music Is The Cure were very pleased with how things turned out Saturday at City Limits Bar and Banquet Hall in Manitowoc.
Those who coordinated the event said, “It was a great night and every band had an amazing set, adding we cannot thank all the bands enough for doing this.”
Preliminary numbers show around 900 people attended Music Is The Cure and they’re “well over last year’s totals for money raised for local families and charities.”
In total, more than $152,000 has been raised for the cause with nearly 95% going directly to families dealing with medical issues.
MITC had a record number of sponsors this year and those who attended have reached out with messages to say they “loved the band selection.”
Also, the raffle room overseen by Newton Lions Club resulted in more raffle sales than any previous year.
