Mequon Homestead and the co-op of Menomonee Falls/Germantown were the top two team finishers Saturday at the WIAA Division-1 Sectional Girls Gymnastics Meet at Manitowoc Lincoln’s JFK Fieldhouse.
As a result, those two squads advance to this weekend’s State Meet at Wisconsin Rapids.
The host Ships came in 6th with a point total of 123.85 and senior Raena Portmann just missed qualifying for state as an individual.
The top 5 place winners qualify and the Lincoln High School athlete was 6th on beam with a score of 8.425.
Portmann also placed 9th on floor and 10th on bars while her teammate Devin Talley wound up 11th on floor.
