At 3M in Menomonie, there were more layoffs than initially reported.
In January, the company announced that 22 workers at the plant would be laid off.
A spokesperson said that the plant had laid off 53 workers yesterday.
Menomonie was home to 673 3M employees prior to the cuts.
The layoffs are part of a global reduction in 3M’s workforce that totals 2,500.
