Parking at Milwaukee’s downtown meters on Saturdays and at night will cost you money.
An attempt to overturn the city’s new parking fees was unsuccessful Thursday.
Bob Bauman, an alderman who had initially supported the additional fees, attempted to get the city council to reverse them.
The director of parking in Milwaukee claims that charging for meters after 6:00 p.m. and until 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays could increase parking availability.
The city will also benefit financially from it.
