Break out your best St Patty’s Day attire and head over to Knox’s Silver Valley Saturday.
For the first time since 2020, Shamrocks for Shelter is on!
The fundraiser for The Haven Men’s Shelter of Manitowoc County promises a day of fun starting up at 11 AM, going until 6 PM.
The day features a big bean bag tournament, lots of food including brats, burgers, and corned beef sandwiches. (as well as Knox’s famous homemade chips) Entertainment features The Charlie Bucket Band with live music from 2 to 6, as well as chances to win with bucket raffles, silent auctions, and the big 50/50 Pot O’ Gold.
Executive Director of The Haven Michael Etheridge had lots to thank for Shamrocks for Shelter’s return.
Not only the sponsors, but also volunteers.
“All of our volunteers really helped go around to businesses to ask for raffle items and baskets,” Etheridge told Seehafer News. “Everyone who donated a basket, we really appreciate you. This such a supportive community. We just want to thank all our volunteers for all their hard work.”
You don’t HAVE to dress up for the event, but there is a prize for best costume.
Shamrocks for Shelter is open to the public and free to attend.
All proceeds go directly to The Haven.
