The Manitowoc Common Council has made an adjustment to help the traffic flow on South 10th Street in downtown Manitowoc.
The City passed an ordinance at Monday’s council meeting to ban parking on the East side of 10th Street between Washington Street and Franklin Street.
Northbound traffic on 10th Street often caused backups by one car waiting to turn left onto Washington or Franklin Streets.
This action was taken by the Manitowoc Common Council after a promise to monitor the traffic patterns and make changes if needed.
It was on August 15th of last year when the city switched 8th and 10th Streets in Manitowoc from one-way to 2-way traffic.
