There is a new man in charge at the Plymouth Police Department.
Police Chief Kenneth Ruggles is assuming the position, bringing with him 28 years of law enforcement experience.
Chief Ruggles is coming to the area from Plainfield Illinois, where he was the Commander of Administration for their police department since 2020.
The City of Plymouth’s Police and Fire Commission selected Ruggles from a field of more than 30 candidates that applied during a nationwide search.
His first day on the job will be May 15th.
