An Outagamie County family is suing a hospital in Appleton following the death of 19-year-old Grace Schara.
Grace, who had Down Syndrome, was being treated at St. Elizabeth Hospital in 2021 when she passed away.
The family claims that several doctors and nurses acted unethically while treating her for a viral infection and low oxygen saturation, leading to her death.
They say the hospital staff gave Grace a lethal cocktail of drugs and listed her as do not resuscitate without consent.
St. Elizabeth Hospital has not issued a comment.
