Bail is set at $1,000 cash for a 59-year-old Manitowoc woman charged with her 7th OWI last Saturday afternoon.
Police responded to a witness report of someone driving the wrong way near North 8th Street and Reed Avenue.
The offending vehicle ended up being parked at a nearby Citgo gas station parking lot where the driver identified as Arlette Anne Debaere exited the vehicle.
She denied driving the vehicle telling officers that a friend drove her, and she walked home.
The vehicle’s keys were found on her person, and she was taken into custody.
Conditions of bail are that Debaere is to maintain absolute sobriety and is not to operate any motor vehicle.
She remains in the County Jail with her initial appearance scheduled for April 10th at 1:30 p.m.
