The City of Manitowoc Engineering Department has announced some lane closures on a heavily traveled stretch of roadway on Manitowoc’s southwest side.
Engineering Division Manager Greg Minikel says the 2 outer lanes of Dewey Street at South 39th Street are scheduled to be closed beginning today (Tuesday).
The closures are necessary for the installation of underground facilities for new traffic signals at that intersection as well as a new concrete curb and gutter.
Minikel explains that one lane in each direction will be maintained at all times on Dewey Street.
The project is expected to be completed and all lanes of traffic reopened to motorists on or before April 28th.
