In Boys High School Baseball last night Manitowoc Lincoln scored in each of the first four innings of its non-conference game with Valders and the Ships cruised to a 9-to-3 nonconference win over the Vikings.
Four Lincoln pitchers combined to hold Valders to just 3 hits in the game and the Vikings tallied 3 runs in the top of the 7th to avoid the shutout.
Starter Brayden Steinbecker fanned the side in the first and finished with 6 strikeouts and one hit allowed over 3 innings to get the win.
Shortstop Noah Wech belted a pair of doubles and knocked in 3 runs for the Ships, now 3-0.
Steinbecker aided his own cause with two hits and an RBI.
Valders’ starter Caleb Mangin to take the loss.
Manitowoc returns to FRCC action Thursday with a road game against Sheboygan South.
