Manitowoc Lincoln was a 15-to-1 winner over host Sheboygan South last night in FRCC Boys Baseball.
The game lasted 5 innings with Ships starter Brock Peterson earning the victory. Walker Linboom paced the Lincoln offense by going 2-for-5 including a double and 5 runs batted in.
Bryce Erdmann added 2 hits with a double and 4 RBI while Peterson helped his own cause by going 1-for-2 and 3 runs batted in.
The Ships, now 4 and oh overall, 2 and 0 in conference, are scheduled to play a doubleheader against Green Bay Southwest at Municipal Field this evening. Game-1 is set to begin at 4:00.
The twin bill had been set for tomorrow but was moved up a day with the possibility of rain in the local forecast.
Meanwhile, the Mishicot Girls Softball team scored 9 runs in the 4th inning to defeat Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah 17-to-2 in Big East Conference action last night.
Offensively, Kasey Brouchoud went 2 for 3 with a walk and 5 RBI, Karsyn Krause reached base 4 times with a home run, 3 runs scored and 2 RBI and winning pitcher Cora Stodola also homered and scored twice in the win.
Mishicot improves to 3 and 0 to start the year.
