Police in Green Bay are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a suspect who’s accused of fleeing a traffic stop and causing injury to an officer.
The officer had stopped 35-year-old Stephani Ray of Green Bay at the intersection of Walnut Street and South Chestnut Avenue late last Thursday night as the vehicle she was driving had displayed plates not matching the vehicle.
She allegedly became combative refusing to exit and provide identification.
As officers attempted to remove her, Ray is said to have put the vehicle into drive with one officer inside, causing them to be dragged by the door before being thrown from the vehicle and onto the road.
The officer was taken to a local hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
Anyone with information related to this incident is encouraged to call Green Bay Police at (920) 448-3200, or Crime Stoppers at (920) 432 STOP (7867), where you may choose to remain anonymous.
