Broadwind Towers, Inc. is back to manufacturing wind towers locally again.
Brett Hartman, Director of Business Development for the company at 101 S. 16th Street, tells Seehafer News, “It’s been a while.”
He noted that there was a gap of about a year and a half where they didn;t get a single order for wind towers, but, “Recently, orders are starting to come in and we’re building wind towers sections again in Manitowoc.”
Hartman explained it is starting with a smaller order and, “We hope that it’s going to continue on from there so, we’ve never had a gap like that in production. And it’s great to see that work back at the shop again.”
The renewed manufacturing of wind towns in the city is leading Broadwind to hire some additional employees, which he says is always great and looks to have that part of the business be a big part of their portfolio.
