A teacher in Two Rivers has been honored by Artsonia, an online student art showcase.
St John’s Lutheran School Art Instructor Beth Messman was named the recipient of the organization’s 2023 Art Education Leadership Award.
Messman was one of thousands of teachers nominated for the award around the country, and one of only 15 to receive the award.
Messman called the award “sprinkles on the icing of the cupcake… I love to teach art in a way that connects students to the world around them. We learn so much about nature, our community, the environment, cultures, and peoples from all over the world through the arts.”
