A Manitowoc woman facing charges following a hit-and-run crash last weekend is free on cash bond posted on Monday.
Court records show that Caryl A. Richmond posted an $800 bond on charges of Resisting an Officer and Operating While Intoxicated-Third Offense.
Officers responded to the incident in the 1300 block of South 18th Street and noticed upon arrival a pile of debris and fluids near South 13th and Green Street,
This led authorities to a car parked in a driveway just a few blocks away on Green Street where they found a heavily impaired woman (Richmond) slumped over in the front seat.
Richmond resisted being handcuffed and continued defying officers’ orders as she was taken to a local hospital for an evidentiary blood draw.
She eventually cooperated and was taken to and booked into the County Jail.
Standard conditions of bail were imposed which include that Richmond is not to commit any additional crimes.
Her initial appearance is set for July 24th.
