The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is looking for volunteers to help collar elk calves between May 19th and June 18th in Black River Falls, WI.
The DNR needs 15 or more volunteers per survey day that feel comfortable hiking on uneven terrain and thick brush.
Volunteers will help to locate calves so DNR wildlife professionals can fit them with a GPS collar, which will collect data on their movement and survival.
Spots have tended to fill up fast, so make sure to sign up soon.
