The Manitowoc Lincoln Girls Softball team won two of its three games over the weekend at the Citizen Park Youth Sports Complex.
According to Ships coach Ashley Bauer, Lincoln defeated Wauwatosa East 10-to-4 behind winning pitcher Karenna Sorenson who threw a complete game 7-hitter.
Sorenson and teammate Taylor Peterson both went 3 for 4 with an RBI, Kailee Ansorge added a pair of hits and 3 RBIs and Delaney Granger chipped in a homer and 2 runs batted in.
The Ships then dumped Mukwonago 11-to-5 with starter Avah Tome going the first 4 innings, followed to the mound by Olivia Konkle.
Granger had a big day at the plate goinjg 4 for 5 with 3 RBIs while Ana Sanchez, Ansorge and Konkle all contributed a pair of hits.
Port Washington prevented Lincoln from making it an undefeated weekend when the Pirates topped Manitowoc 10-to-5.
Sorenson started and took the loss while Jordin Popp was 2 for 4 at the plate in a losing effort.
The Ships (6-&-8) are scheduled to host Sheboygan North today at 4:30 p.m.
