Because of ongoing misconduct and vandalism issues, the city of Manitowoc is going to close the restrooms at both Red Arrow Park and Washington Park on weekdays, during the school day, effective immediately.
According to a news release from Dan Koski, Director of Public Infrastructure, the restrooms and Washington and Red Arrow Parks will open late afternoon on weekdays for after-school activities, and then automatically lock again at 9:00 p.m.
Koski explained that at this time, the restrooms there will be open during their regular hours on Saturdays and Sundays from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
He added the new restroom hours will continue through June 9th, at which time they will be reassessed for the summer months.
Restrooms in all other city parks that have automatic locks will continue to be open daily from 6:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
