Manitowoc Lincoln broke up a tight game by scoring 7 runs in the bottom of the 6th en route to a 9-to-2 victory over Green Bay Preble in FRCC Boys Baseball at Municipal Field last night.
Winning pitcher Brock Peterson and reliever Evan Deicher combined on a 5-hitter to improve the Ships’ record to 9 and 2 overall, 6 and 2 in conference.
Offensively, Peterson and Walker Linboom each had a pair of hits and knocked in 3 runs.
Noah Wech tripled and drew a bases-loaded walk for an RBI.
Hornets starter Nate Pollen suffered the loss but pitched very well for 5 innings.
Coach Bruce Steinbecker’s team has a doubleheader at Pulaski tomorrow.
