Two Rivers swept both the boys’ and girls’ team track and field titles last night at the Manitowoc County High School Meet in Mishicot.
Manitowoc Lincoln finished as a runner-up in the girls’ division and was 3rd in the boys’ category.
The highlight for the Ships was a first-place finish and a new meet record by the 4 x 200-meter relay of Kaitlyn and Breanna Jansky, Ava (AY’-vuh) Bierman and Khloe Jalbert in a time of 1:50:37.
Other firsts for the Lincoln girls were turned in by Tessa Campbell, a double winner in the 400 and 200-meter dash along with the 4 x 100 relay comprised by Kaitlyn Jansky, Katherine Maser, Olivia Minikel and Kaitlyn Stanislawski.
Ships boys winners were Sawyer Krall in the discus, Mason Gates 1600 meter run, Dillon Meisnest in the 3200 and the 4 x 800 relay of Ethan Frisch, Blaine McDonnell, Micah Swemke and Carson Zutz.
Manitowoc Lutheran meanwhile, in competing at the County track meet wound up 4th in both divisions at the 8 school invite.
The Lancers Elizabeth Blauert claimed her team’s only title with a 15-feet, 2-and-a-quarter-inch Long Jump effort.
Lutheran also had a pair of 2nd place finishes.
