Manitowoc Lincoln and Roncalli enjoyed success on the softball diamond Wednesday afternoon.
The Ships improved to 10-and-8 on the season with an 11-3 victory over Sheboygan North at the Citizen Park Manitowoc Youth Sports Complex.
Karenna Sorenson tossed a complete 7 hitter and gave up just 1 earned run in Lincoln’s 4th consecutive FRCC win.
Coach Ashley Bauer tells us Kailiee Ansorge paced the offensive attack with a 3-for-5 performance including a double, 2 RBIs and 3 stolen bases.
Ana Sanchez chipped in 2 hits that included a double and 4 RBIs, while Kendra Wech and Sorenson added a pair of hits and an RBI apiece.
Meanwhile, the Jets earned a 17-to-5 road victory over Sheboygan Falls/Kohler.
Winning pitcher Gretchen Kapic worked the first 3 innings and got relief help from Madison Lamers.
McKenzie Staudinger led the offense going 3 for 5 and Lamers had 3 of Roncalli’s 8 stolen bases.
The Jets improved to 10-and-7 overall.
